6th Day of Christmas

Filed under: 12 Days of Christmas, Stampin' Up! — Tags: , , — maggie mathern @ 10:23 pm

Sorry I am so late again today.  Work was super busy and I had to come home and finish off the card.  Have now photographed them and now you will be able to see what I have been up to.  It is a Christmas Basket based on one that Cambria Turnbow did.  I have enjoyed learning how to make some new boxes and other 3D items recently.    The card in the picture just kind of evolved.  Hope you like them.

2nd Day of Christmas

I had seen lots of blogs in the US/Canada where people were using a product called Liquid Applique to put snow on their cards & projects.  I sourced some online and made these.  I think it adds a lovely detail.  What do you think?

Hubby’s Birthday

My husband Shane had a birthday recently as well.  Ok, so it was before mine and I am running late.  What else is new these days, right?  I would like to share the card I made for him just last night.  Why is it you find that inspiration strikes at the most inopportune times?  I should of been tucked up in bed asleep, but instead I was in my craft room in my element, surrounded by supplies I had pulled out from various sources.  Oh that looks good, no, maybe this?  You get the drift.  By the time I finished and presented hubby with his card, it was after 2 am when I got to bed.  That’s ok, but I definitely suffer for it the next day LOL

Friendly Friday

Today I am starting a new trend here on Innovative Designs.  I will be sharing some friends creations with you.  My first contributer is Annette.  We have been working together (nursing) for a few years now and have gotten to know each other better through our love of papercrafts.  Annette is very gifted in many areas of crafting including Folk Art.  Hence card making and throwing colours together comes naturally.

For her first contribution, I have chosen two cards and a Treat Box she has made with a baby theme.  I don’t know about all of you, but I seem to know of so many people having babies this year.  I am sure these projects will be very handy.
