A Cold, Wet Day

As much as I have been enjoying the bit of rain we have had recently, the cold is sure bothering me this year.  Must be getting older eh? LOL  I would love to be tucked into my studio creating, but have to go and brave the elements and go to work.

My appologies for no update in the last few days, good intentions and all.  I have spent some much needed time in the garden weeding and attending a myriad of other tasks that I have not had time for in recent weeks.  Playing catchup can be all consuming as we all know too well.

I intend to lock myself in here tomorrow and create up a storm.  So many new ideas I have found lately that I want to try.  Inspiration comes from many places.

Keep smiling and stamping,

Maggie

Wacky Wednesday

Funny title I know, but that totally describes my day.  Go to do one thing, interrupted by phone or doorbell, forget what I was doing and start something else.  I give up LOL.  So I have just been playing around with my blog and adding some new items here and there.

Time to head off to work.  Hope you are all having an awesome day.

Happy Stamping,

Maggie

Hubby’s Birthday

My husband Shane had a birthday recently as well.  Ok, so it was before mine and I am running late.  What else is new these days, right?  I would like to share the card I made for him just last night.  Why is it you find that inspiration strikes at the most inopportune times?  I should of been tucked up in bed asleep, but instead I was in my craft room in my element, surrounded by supplies I had pulled out from various sources.  Oh that looks good, no, maybe this?  You get the drift.  By the time I finished and presented hubby with his card, it was after 2 am when I got to bed.  That’s ok, but I definitely suffer for it the next day LOL

phew…

I FINALLY got that last post up.  It has been a VERY frustrating few hours of work.  Firstly, learning how to use Photoshop Elements 6 on the macbook to edit and save the photos and then insert the said pics into my post.  I got to the end and lost the majority of my work!!!  Argh, it took long enough to figure it out once without that happening.  Giggle!!!  Oh well, all’s well that end’s well as they say, and I can add a few new skills to my list of life’s achievements!!!  Of course, provided I can remember what I have done this time LOL

Cheers,

Maggie

Friendly Friday

Today I am starting a new trend here on Innovative Designs.  I will be sharing some friends creations with you.  My first contributer is Annette.  We have been working together (nursing) for a few years now and have gotten to know each other better through our love of papercrafts.  Annette is very gifted in many areas of crafting including Folk Art.  Hence card making and throwing colours together comes naturally.

For her first contribution, I have chosen two cards and a Treat Box she has made with a baby theme.  I don’t know about all of you, but I seem to know of so many people having babies this year.  I am sure these projects will be very handy.
