Gosh, life has just been speeding by lately.  It seems that sometimes life throws lots of stuff our way and it can be very overwhelming.  I have had to take an enforced break from my Stampin’ Up! activities.  Thank you so much to you all for your support during this difficult time.  I really appreciate it.

I feel it is time to change some things around here.  I was bored with the look of my site.  Hence this small change.  I have some exciting projects to share with you.  A friend of mine has made a few cards for me to display here.  I will be photographing them and putting them up Friday.  So please drop by to have a look.

It was also my birthday yesterday and I have some lovely cards made by fellow demos and friends from all over the world to share with you.  It never ceases to amaze me what wonderful projects everyone comes up with using the same stamp sets, yet all so different.

Cheers for now,

Maggie M

my poor baby….

and I mean my beloved dog, Missy.  She is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and over the past few days has been under par.  She had a dislocation in her back leg and suffers from some arthritis..and was having trouble moving.  I have had a few sleepless nights as I have tried to get her to sleep on a bed on the floor next to my bed.  Or maybe I should say…normally….I get to share HER bed.  You get the drift…she rules the house!!!!  It was so difficult to watch her go through this and yet look at me so trustingly that I would instinctively know what was wrong and could fix it.

As of today she is once more able to gingerly go up and down the couple of steps from the deck at the back of the house..I so did NOT enjoy the hour long trips to take her to go to the toilet.  What is it about dog’s and their ability to still be able to patrol the boundary fence to the neighbours and go off in search of imaginery beasts at 3 am???  I would get her back in the house and she did not want to sleep on said doggy bed on the floor next to me.  She would go to sleep after about an hour of testing me out…and then she would be snoring and I would still be awake *rolling eyes*..of course…the moment the alarm goes off…my body screams…go to sleep!!!!  But the cycle of the daily grind must continue….

Tomorrow is another day.

and this means my new stamps and accessories are here!!! Time to drool over them and make up the DIE-CUT (shouting out loud here) stamp sets, then it is off to work.  No matter how crook I feel tomorrow…I am having some me time and going to create something and post here.  I hope you are all faring better than me this winter in regards to illness, but it seems to be everywhere here at the moment.

Stampin’ Up! New Demonstrator Special

From now until August 15th, Stampin’ Up! have a new promotion offering you an opportunity to start your own business for $25 off the normal price.  The starter kit which normally costs $324, is only $299.  What other business can you think of that has such a low outlay to get started?   This is a fantastic saving, of over 40% as the kit contains over $560 worth of product in it. The best thing is that you can customise the kit to suit yourself by choosing what stamps, inks and cardstock colours you prefer.

There are many benefits to joining at this time of the year.  Some of these include:

  • It is the start of a new quarter, so you have until the end of the year to make your first sales quota
  • It is currently the preorder period for the Spring Mini Catalogue, so as a demonstrator you get to order first.
  • A good time to introduce SU to your family and friends as Christmas is fast approaching and they will be able to make their own cards and gifts.
  • Stampin’ Up! Regional training will be held later this year
  • I have monthly team meetings where we have fun, share ideas and encourage each other.
  • Stampin’ Up! produce a wonderful newsletter called Impressions which we receive in the mail each month.

I joined Stampin’ Up! in October 2006 and have had the time of my life meeting new people and sharing my love of papercrafts.   The Statement of the Heart truly reflects my experience and the soul of the company.

“To love what we do and share what we love,

as we help others enjoy creativity

and worthwhile accomplishments,

in this we make a difference.”

– Stampin’ Up! Statement of the Heart.
