What An Awesome Time!!!!!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — maggie mathern @ 11:43 pm

I can’t believe that Convention 2007 has come and gone. The city of Sydney and in particular Darling Harbour, was just beautiful. We were blessed with the most incredible weather! The Convention Center is Huge!!!!

When I got to Sydney I took the train to the hotel, where I checked in for the next three nights at the Novotel Rockford in Darling Harbour. It was situated next to China Town and the Entertainment Centre. I went up to the room I was going to share with Kylie and dumped my suitcase and had a cup of coffee. Needed the caffeine LOL.

I took a stroll through Darling Harbour and decided to visit the Aquarium. What a fantastic place it turned out to be. I just loved watching the antics of the seals, although one just dozed and posed for everyone. There were many fascinating things to see there and it was very interactive. Many true/false panels to questions and there were places you could touch some plants, eggs and starfish. I really enjoyed the whole experience and the tunnels were amazing to see fish/sharks etc swim all around you…and I didn’t have to get wet to do it *grin*

Ok…will come back tomorrow with the next installment. I had better learn how to put up some pictures too…

Stampin’ Up! Convention 2007

Filed under: Uncategorized — maggie mathern @ 9:31 pm

whoohoo…the time has finally arrived and I and many other demonstrators from all around Australia are off to converge in Sydney on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th May. Excitement has been building for me all day as I have prepared for my flight tomorrow. As the SU motto states “It Starts With Heart”

I am looking forward to finally meeting other ladies I have chatted to online for many months, and in some cases, years. Some of us are lucky enough to be staying at the Novotel Rockford in Darling Harbour. I can’t wait to meet Shelli Gardner the CEO and co-founder of Stampin’ Up! in the USA. We will be attending business lectures, classes and have the opportunity to buy at memento mall and swap cards/atc’s with other demonstrators. Saturday night sees us attending an Awards Banquet, where we get the chance to celebrate various demonstrators achievements.
