Bushfire Appeal – Final Contributions

Filed under: charity — Tags: — maggie mathern @ 11:00 am

I am so excited to be able to announce that as a result of all the wonderful customers around Australia whom purchased the advertised stamp sets through our Bushfire Appeal, together we raised $77,889.63  Awesome result!!!  In reality of course this figure is actually higher as it does not factor in that various demonstrators, myself included, donated our commissions during this time.

We really can and do make a difference.  Thanks everyone for your support.

Cheers,

Wow, have sales gone ahead in my absence.  You guys rock!!!  The new total of revenue raised for the Australian Red Cross Bushfire Appeal as reported on the SU website is as follows:

DONATION AMOUNT FOR THE BUSHFIRE APPEAL
5 March 2009

We’re thrilled to report that to date, with the sales of the Bushfire Appeal stamp sets, we’ll be able to donate $58,131.68 to the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfires 2009 Appeal.

Thank you for your efforts to help those who’ve suffered from this tragedy.

The great news is that this is not the final tally.  I will update as soon as I hear of them.

Bushfire Appeal

Filed under: charity, Stampin' Up! — Tags: — maggie mathern @ 1:40 pm

I, like you, have been absolutely horrified by recent events in Victoria.  It is unfathomable that someone may have lit some of the bushfires that have ravaged our state.  I have had both family and friends affected. Some had been evacuated but have since returned home unscathed, whilst others have lost their homes but thankfully are still alive.  As we all know, others were less fortunate, losing their lives.  A reminder to all as to how precious and fleeting life is.

I prepared and was about to send an email to all my customers about this and how they can help me to help the bushfire victims.  Since preparing this, Stampin’ Up! ® have also made a very special announcement about their commitment to help.   I will now amend the newsletter before sending it.  I was and still am donating my commission from February sales to the Australian Red Cross for the bushfire victims.  I can now add to this Stampin’ Up’s! ® contribution to this cause.  Details below:

From now until 31st March they will be donating 50% of the retail value from sales of the following stamp sets to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal:

Priceless

Seeing Spots

Baroque Motifs

Live Your Dream (Summer Mini)

Looks Like Spring*

The Snowflake Spot*

Bodacious Boquet*

Polka Dots & Paisley*

G’day Mate*

Be Happy*

* sets marked with an asterix will be retired at 31st March 2009

If you would like to view the official flyer from Stampin’ Up! ® please click here.  One of the many reasons I love being involved with Stampin’ Up! ® is their ongoing commitment to people, family, community.

As I said before, I will be donating my comission (20%) from all sales from now until the 28th February to the Bushfire Appeal.  Sale-A-Bration is still running until February 28th, so if your order reaches $100 you will also receive a free SAB stamp set & if your order includes any of the above stamp sets 50% of their value will be donated. Email me today to place your order & together we can help those that have lost their homes & loved ones.

On their behalf – Thank You!!!  Let’s work together to make a difference.

All In The Family Promotion

All In The Family

Sadly, the Australian General Manager, Dave Abbott, recently passed away from a rare blood disease, at the age of 41, leaving behind his wife and 3 young children. Stampin’ Up! being the incredible company they are, have just released the stamp set called ‘All In The Family’, in Australia, in order to raise money for Dave’s family. 100% of the proceeds of the sale of this stamp set worldwide will be donated to Dave’s young family – not just the profits but 100% of the sale price worldwide… now that’s a company with heart!

I would like as many of you as possible to be able to buy this set, so I will be passing my Demonstrator discount on to you. I won’t make any money from it, but hopefully I can help raise some money for Dave’s family. I am offering it to you at 20% off! So, instead of $73.95, you’ll pay only $59.15 (plus shipping and handling)

You can see the stamp set, and a picture of Dave and his family on the picture above. The All in the Family stamp set will appear in the Idea Book & Catalogue 2008-2009 (which will be released in April), but has been pre-released to raise money for the Abbott family. The set will not be available again after 30 November until 1 April.

This Promotion runs from the 1st November until the 30th November 2007.

Let me know if you’d like to buy a very versatile stamp set, and help out a family in need at the same time.
