A Fabulous Day…..

For the first time in a long time, I have taken time out for me.  Shane and I went by train to IKEA in Richmond today.  I feel it is time to rid my craftroom of second hand furniture, bit by bit, and create a space that is to be my sanctuary.  What better place to go for storage solutions than IKEA.

We took the train from Geelong to Southern Cross Station and went straight to our favourite coffee shop, Gloria Jeans.  Had a yummy Hot Mocha!!!!  Great start to the day and it certainly gives flagging energy levels a boost.  Have had a very busy week at work.  We then caught the 109 tram in Collins street to take us out to Richmond.  It has been a very nice sunny day today and it was very pleasant to sit on the tram and watch the world go by.

I just love IKEA.  Have I told you this before?  I love to spend time browsing around all their displays and day dreaming.  Ooh, look at this, look at that.  It was endless.  Time to go and have lunch in the restaurant.  Man do they know how to lay out a store.  By the time you are finished looking at the displays you are more than ready for lunch.  What’s a girl to have for lunch whilst there?  Why swedish meatballs of course!!!  Scrumptious.  Tanked up again and time to hit the market hall to find all the stuff I wanted.  Came home with some boxes, a shelf and a new waste paper bin.  BUT, my big purchase, which will be delivered on Tuesday afternoon, a beautiful new white bookcase.  It is called LIATORP.  If you want to view it either go to their online catalogue or pick up their catalogue and it is on page 84.  Very Martha Stewart like LOL.  I can’t wait to organise my stamp sets into this bookcase and other items.

This will be a work in progress that’s for sure.  As I change my furniture over, my old stuff is going to hubby’s shed.  So it won’t be wasted and he is happy to have it.  He already has some of the same stuff.  So a perfect solution me thinks )

Ok, well I am bushed.  Will come back over the weekend and share some more with you all.

Keep Smiling and Stamping,

Maggie

Wacky Wednesday

Funny title I know, but that totally describes my day.  Go to do one thing, interrupted by phone or doorbell, forget what I was doing and start something else.  I give up LOL.  So I have just been playing around with my blog and adding some new items here and there.

Time to head off to work.  Hope you are all having an awesome day.

Happy Stamping,

Maggie

For her first contribution, I have chosen two cards and a Treat Box she has made with a baby theme.  I don’t know about all of you, but I seem to know of so many people having babies this year.  I am sure these projects will be very handy.

Gosh, life has just been speeding by lately.  It seems that sometimes life throws lots of stuff our way and it can be very overwhelming.  I have had to take an enforced break from my Stampin’ Up! activities.  Thank you so much to you all for your support during this difficult time.  I really appreciate it.

I feel it is time to change some things around here.  I was bored with the look of my site.  Hence this small change.  I have some exciting projects to share with you.  A friend of mine has made a few cards for me to display here.  I will be photographing them and putting them up Friday.  So please drop by to have a look.

It was also my birthday yesterday and I have some lovely cards made by fellow demos and friends from all over the world to share with you.  It never ceases to amaze me what wonderful projects everyone comes up with using the same stamp sets, yet all so different.

Cheers for now,

Maggie M

Thought of the day

Always leave enough room in your
life to do something that makes
you happy, satisfied, or even
joyous. -Paul Hawken

I just love this quote!!! We all lead such busy lives these days and it is so important to remember to take care of us as well.

Yesterday was a case in point for me. What a lovely way to spend an afternoon, with old friends and new ones stamping and laughing together. My friend Julie, whom was our hostess, made her world famous sponge recipe which we got to sample in between projects and many good stories from our lives. Stampin’ Up!® has been such a blessing in my life as I meet new people and get to share what i love.

I will get back with a picture of one of the projects as soon as I can get access to a camera…stay tuned
